We had a blast on Halloween! Annika was not a fan of her costume at first, but once she realized how cute she was and people give her candy, she was in heaven! We started the evening by going to Patti's house, which she received a lot of candy. There, she had a little candy bar, and it was the beginning of the end. It did not take long for her to get on a sugar high. In the mile and a half drive back from Patti's, she managed to eat another candy bar through the wrapper (unbeknownst to Matt and I)! Seriously, why don't they make those candy wrappers child proof?
Once we got home, we decided to hit up a few houses in our neighborhood. Brooke was warm and snug in the Bjorn, and Daddy helped Annika get the hang of trick or treating. She seemed to get the hang of it, but tried to go into everyone's house as soon as the door was open! We did stop for a bit at a party, but left shortly after, to do some more trick or treating! It was a good time--Annika and I ventured out further, and Daddy stayed home with the snoozing Brooke to hand out candy.
Upon returning home, Annika's sugar high truly kicked in! I took this short video to give you a taste of her hyperness! I am not sure how long she would have rolled around, as this video was taken after she had already done a few rounds! The doorbell ended this episode!
Through it all, Brooke slept most of the evening. My little froggie was all ribbited out!
