Although she was stubborn, her eviction went relatively well. She stuck around for about 20 hours more than we desired, but it is all well; the end result is more than exceptional!
I know there has been confusion on how you actually say her name. Well, it is like saying "Hanukkah" without the "H". I hope that makes sense...and the name comes from Norwegian, Scandinavian and German backgrounds...pretty much what Matt and I are. Don't know for sure where the name came from---but it was the only one we could agree on! Matt did have free reign over the middle name. I think after he saw what a woman goes through with labor, he couldn't not give her mine!
Matt is a wonderful daddy! He is getting to be a pro diaper changer too! He will be taking off this week from work; it will be great for us to be a family together for awhile before all the grandparents start coming in! We are very excited to have guests!
Well, more will be posted later, but this is it for today. There is so much to talk about, but I must sign off--supper time!

But 20 hrs! Jeez, glad I'm a guy!!
Congrats again! She is adorable! You made it past the easy part of parenthood!!!
I love the pictures in the web album and I love hearing about Miss Annika Joye. She is definitely a keeper! You all look sooooooo happy!
Love you and miss you and am looking forward to my chance to hold her, too!!

Oh she is so darn cute! You guys look like naturals too! It's easy! LOL Glad to hear Matt's already a pro at diapers - that will come in very handy, especially when Mommy is exhausted. Actually diaper time is a great bonding time for Daddy - Mommy gets all the feeding times at least for now. Enjoy her you two, we are so happy for you!

How wonderful, a sweet little Ladybug! I know that Itchy wanted to come out and scratchy was glad that she did!
I miss having you at work, but little Annika is worth it!
