New hobby!

Alright, I think my Kirchner side is truly coming out. I have recently became a HUGE fan of www.moneysavingmom.com. I swear, I did not realize how much money you can save on stuff. I am usually a person to buy things on sale, but never really ventured into the couponing side. Well, this website has shown me a lot of info, and has links to other sites with more info.
Last week, through my couponing endeavors, I saved about $60.oo at Target. Granted, I still spent a $100, but that is Target for you. (and $50 of it was formula anyway!). I am not too entirely crazy as some of these people on the website are, but it is kinda fun. I just wish I had a CVS! I guess that is where the real deals are. But, alas, maybe Walgreens will surfice. Another website I have been watching is www.commonsensewithmoney.com. This one is really interesting...year-to-date the owner saved over $5000 by spending $130 in newspapers and such.

With the way the economy it is nowadays, it doesn't hurt to save on items you use anyway. I haven't gotten to the point of stocking up with enough toothpaste until the day I die, but hey--if it is free, I may consider it! And hey, I have a little girl's college I will have to pay for some day!

Hi Amber,
Thank you for the shout out. Just wanted to say that couponing is a completely worth it hobby. It pays it self in no time. The beauty of it is that after a while you can take things easier. At first it may seem like a lot of work but once you hve a nice stockpile of things you can slow down the pace.

I am so darn proud! I wish you were still here so we could do our crazy couponing days together and compare our deals. :) I know, we already do that. Hey, I have enough soap (adult and kid), toothpaste, razors and deoderant to literally last at least a year. Free is awesome! I'll have to take a picture sometime.
