Muckleshoot me in the foot

Last night, Dad and Sandy played babysitter so that Matt and I could have some time together, baby-free. I always anticipate being baby-free, but when we actually are, it feels so unnatural. And although they were in excellent hands--Dad literally can not put Annika down--I had a little separation anxiety. I know I go through this every day when I go to work, but somehow it is different--no work to distract me. I mean, what if she learns how to crawl or talk, or walk in the 2 hours we were gone?

Well, she didn't. After a whole day of being crabby, she was a little angel for her grandparents! Matt and I decided to venture to a nearby casino. The buffet sucked--who would have thought that Mystic Lake is the best? Then, I guess with my new found cheap ways, giving my money to the casino is harder these days. Needless to say, we did enough donating for awhile. :-P

I am fortunate to have today off, I have to get Dad and Sandy to the train Depot early this afternoon--need to make sure they don't miss the train! It has been a good time having them here, and I know we will miss them tons! Annika will especially miss her doting grandpa!
