Cower! Hide! The great white blast of 2008 has arrived!

This morning, Matt and I woke up to a nice little snow covering...which, really wasn't too bad. If you listened to the news, though, you would have thought it was the 1991 Halloween blizzard all over again. Or the beginning of the apocalypse. Mad frenzy was had by all!

Because I did not know what this all meant, I left home about 10 minutes early...hell, I didn't know what to expect...people don't know how to drive in the snowy weather, right? Well, they don't! People did not go to work today, schools shut down, a highway even shut down, and hey, where is my mail??? (okay, the mail could be coincidental that we just didn't get any) I actually got to work 15 minutes early!

Oh well, tomorrow it is supposed to be worse...accumulation of an inch or so...oh dear! In all honesty, I understand a little of why these Washingtonians freak out so much. There aren't enough salt trucks, the roads are very hilly, and yes, they do get slippery. It is just hard to imagine, that with them predicting a Y2K-like fall of the world, and they just aren't prepared. Whatever. At least my commute tomorrow will even be lighter than today....just have to take it easy on the hills!
