So, where does a funeral director go when she is not directing funerals? To a cemetery, of course! Ah, how I missed the smell of the grass, the polished granite markers, and the assortment of flowers left by the families of the residents of the cemetery.
Alright, in actuality, Matt and I decided to do a little bit of sightseeing today. We FINALLY finished the house--no more boxes--we decided to reward ourselves and take a little drive; letting Garmy lead the way. So, we got in the car and off we went! Garmy told us the closest attraction to us was the grave site of Jimi Hendrix; hence how we ended up in a cemetery. Pretty cool....being the cheesy tourists we are, we had to get out and take pictures....check them out in the album!
After the cemetery, we decided to check out Seattle; a short 10 mile (or so) drive. Wow! What a city! The sun decided to come out, and it was absolutely beautiful! We got there via Mercer Island (aka Bill Gates's homestead), and the famed floating bridge (the second longest in the world: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lacey_V._Murrow_Memorial_Bridge), Funky!
Upon arriving in downtown Seattle, Garmy was a little annoyed, as the skyscrapers didn't help him out. Nevertheless, Matt and I landed at Pike Place Market; which, any of you corporate trained people, may remember a teamwork video made at Pike Place Fish Market (the dudes that throw fish). We even got to witness them throwing the fishies!
We also walked down Post Alley, where we saw a couple of night clubs, and a bubble gum wall (ick).
Also, we can't deny it: without Caribou, Starbucks is a must have (mine decaf, of course). The first Starbucks was just across the street (from the market). It was packed full of people, so we didn't go in, but we got to take pictures (again, reference the photo album).
Matt and I had a blast....it was a lot of fun, and the funnest part was just people watching....the area was like Uptown times 100! Bohemian artistes everywhere...but generally a cool atmosphere.
We had a great time, but by the time we were done walking, little baby Ambatt was tired, along with her Mommy, so we headed home after a pleasant time. Next week (maybe) hopefully we will go to the Space Needle....until then, back to work for us!

I must admit, when I started reading about your love of cemetaries, I was thinking -- okay, what a freak.
Why is there a picture of Bill Clinton in your curio cabinet?
LOL Bill Clinton!?!? you mean, GOD? according to Matt, anyway....it is a signed copy of his book--I gave it to Matt a few years ago for x-mas, along with a signed copy of Hilary's book too.
hey bambam... you weren't kidding when you said your new home is small! :-D
