With Annika all tired out yesterday, she did not want to eat her cake. I guess she wanted to celebrate her birthday today, too! We had to take Grandma to the airport today, which made us all sad, then she had her yearly checkup appointment. All went well--she is 21 pounds, 12 ounces (55th percentile), and 30.25 inches long (80th percentile), and in good health! She wasn't ecstatic about getting her shots, but in general took them well. She managed to take a little nap today and has been a happy, hyper toddler (ack! can you believe the Doctor called her a "toddler" today?)!
She also got to taste chocolate cake for the first time! Oh what a mess she made!! Frosting was everywhere--hair, ears, and nose! She even managed to get some on the back of her high chair and on the wall! She was really reluctant at first; I think she was more scared of the ladybug than anything else--but with the help of Mommy, she managed to dig right in!
Needless to say, a bath immediately followed, leaving a frosting/cake residue in the tub!
