What a week, cont.

12/26: Although Annika went to bed a little early on Christmas, we were up and at 'em early the next morning! Mommy and Daddy were very tired still- to a point past exhausted. We managed to not get a lot done, but Annika wanted to play with her new toy! Then, Matt went to his buddy Jason's house (it was his birthday) and Annika and I went to visit Grandma Ruth at her apartment, to say goodbye to her, as we had to fly out the next day.

12/27: Annika, Matt and I had to pack and get moving for our 2:30 flight. After checking the computer a few times, it was inevitable we had to leave. There were no bad weather conditions, and off we went! Annika was a little fussy on the plane; as I am guessing it was her ears. She also seems to be teething, as the drooling combined with the MN air has created quite the chapped face - like a little red beard!


All in all, we had a very good visit. Since being home, however, I somehow managed to sleep about 12 hours (thanks to Matt!) and still be exhausted. We were constantly on the move, with little or no downtime. I feel bad that we were not able to make it everywhere we wanted to, and see everyone we wanted to, or spend more time with whom we wanted to, but as you could see we had no time to fit in everything. Annika, Matt and I had a great time, and wished reality did not kick in so soon, as the time just flew by! We hope everyone had a great Christmas, and next year perhaps we could host in a new house (?)!

We can not thank our families enough for everything - the generosity you have all shown is too much! Evidently we were good this year! Thanks again for the parties, the hosting of get-togethers, the awesome gifts and to Kent and Lee for allowing us to stay at your house the whole time we were there. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and we love you all!
