Annika and Athena are quickly turning into buddies. They no longer look at each other like the other is an alien. Instead, Athena always greets Annika when we get home from work! The two girls definitely like to hang out! Annika has to remind Athena who is boss though; it is not too uncommon for Annika to pull her ears or her hair. Athena takes it in stride and I think she secretly likes it! She also likes to guard Annika when she is sleeping---often sleeping next to her if she is napping on the floor, or near her crib at night.
I think Athena's maternal instincts are really kicking in. I guess I have come to realize that isn't just Matt and I raising our baby, but Athena too!
