We (I) Survived!

Well, the big day happened. It is done. Can't wait until Friday! It was so hard to drop Annika off at daycare today. Of course, I had a harder time with it than Annika. She was all smiles when I dropped her off. Then, when I went to see her at lunch, she was all smiles again! It is good to know that she is happy, I guess. I was really happy I got to see her at lunch! She went right to sleep in my arms; so nursing was a little difficult. She was sooo tired! I think all the excitement of the day got to her! Finally, at 5 I picked her up and she was all smiles again! She managed to take a nice afternoon nap at daycare! We didn't get home until after 6, which is really hard--she has to go to bed at 8. Needless to say, she got all her missed kisses from Daddy and I when we got home! Right now she is spending a little time with Daddy before we start the bedtime routine.

Work wasn't too bad. I am a little rusty at the procedures, but it is all starting to click back into place. I am grateful they are pretty flexible with my schedule and such. Right now, Annika and I are having rather long days--left the house at 7am, and got home at 6pm. But, as I said before, it is for only 4 days a week. We can handle it--especially if she sleeps through the night again like the last two nights!
