Celebrating birthdays with a bang!

Annika sure likes to party! In celebration of her 1 week birthday, she wanted to party all night long last night. Between it being the anniversary of her birth, and the fact that Daddy had to go back to work today, Annika did not want to sleep. Instead, she kept Mommy up with multiple feedings--drinking like a sailor in celebration, no doubt. At around 4 this morning, she finally decided she had enough, and went to sleep.

However, just as Daddy left for work, she woke up and was rather upset. Finally, by mid morning, she decided she was tuckered out enough to get some sleep...however, she had to sleep in Daddy's spot (in her dog bed) to feel close to him.

A day without Daddy was a little difficult. Matt was constantly checking up on his girls and his girls missed him greatly. We tried to keep busy by going to my work and visiting some of the great ladies, but Annika got rather fussy fast. I think she just wanted the comfort of being at home on Daddy's chest-her favorite place to be! Definitely a true Daddy's girl!

Don't have any plans for tommorrow--I guess Annika will let me know then!
