I know, I know it has been nearly forever since I posted on here. A lot has happened! I am now 6 1/2 months pregnant with a girl (as they say), and we are finally all in Washington! With quite an uneventful flight, Athena and I made it out here, to join Matt. It is great to be together again! Next on the agenda: I need to find a job; which I have a job interview tomorrow. Then, we have to unpack! It is so hard to imagine the stuff two people accumulate in the matter of 30 years. We have boxes everywhere, and just don't know where to put them all. So far, we got a good start, but it really feels like a drop in the bucket of boxes. We have managed to lose Athena a few times...she is loving the maze of boxes...especially after her drugged out state on the plane. I am in awe of who ever thought of tranquilizers for a cat...it was perfect...just not so easy to get the pill down her throat. It took an act of God--and Lee and Sarah to get it down her throat, but definitely worth it. I think she is digging the new pad though.
Matt and I are doing really good, along with baby Ambatt. Last night, when we were cuddling in bed, I mentioned to Matt that he was surrounded by females.....me, Athena and Ambatt. What a lady's man!
Well, now that we are all here, and a family once again, with so many family and friends in the white tundra abyss called Minnesota, we will try, try as we might, to be better about updating this blog. For now, take care all, and if you have any free time, come and give us a hand with unpacking!
