Thanksgiving was great! Matt made his popovers, and we had Thanksgiving at the Cooley household! As always, it was a great time! Everyday we are grateful to have such a great family in our lifes! Patty and Dale were as always the doting "aunt and uncle", and Christopher and Cassidy, being 15 year olds, are always the entertaining duo. Annika also missed her pal, D.O.G. She like to dive on him! Thankfully, he took it in stride and actually had some fun with it.
Brooke was as cute as ever--she really liked to be held by Patty a lot! Besides harassing D.O.G., Annika's other game was very meticulous--she insisted on very methodically taking a napkin from a pile of napkins, unfolding it, and bringing it to the other side of the room, to hand off to Patty's mom. Annika continued to do this until the whole stack-perhaps 50 napkins or so-where on the other side of the room. Once she managed to move them all, she grabbed the whole pile, put them where they started from and started over again--happily moving the napkins one by one. I have no idea what was going through her head, but she was having the time of her life!
Thank you, Cooley family for inviting us to share the holiday with you! We had a great time, and ate entirely too much!
