Seven Months of Loving; Seven Months of Learning

It has been seven short months since Annika has come into our lives! I swear, if you watch her closely, you can almost see her physically grow!

But, just when you think you may have things figured out, she reminds you that you don't!

For lunch today, I got her all buckled into her high chair, with her food on the nearby table. Just when I sat down, I realized I had forgotten my wet paper towels I need to keep her clean. So, I got up and went into the kitchen to fetch some. Not more than 2 seconds! And...I come back to her with her hands full of her rice/prune mixture. She had managed to grab the bowl off the table and feed herself. Of course, when I tried to take it away, she was not happy! Being her birthday and all, I decided that she could have a little fun and try to feed herself. I had recently got some baby utensils anyway, and figured, "Hey, why not?" Well, I learned why not!

Prunes and rice everywhere! In her ears, nose and even a little in her mouth! She was laughing with so much glee I couldn't say no to my little girl! It was fun, but definitely warranted a bath afterwards--for her and me both!
